John Ankerberg is a well credited and knowledgable man who seeks to know the TRUTH. His opinion is that JESUS CHRIST IS the truth and our trust should firmly rest and the infallible written WORD of God and not on fallible, personable testimony and perceived experiences of people who too often do not believe in either Jesus Christ or the Word. Some experiences MAY have some basis in truth and genuine validity. But ALL we believe should be referenced back to Christ and THE WORD. We have an enemy in this world and there ARE spirits with powerful powers of deceptive means and persuasive techniques. We are told by Christ and our Heavenly Father to beware and to trust HIM and His Word and avoid that which fails to agree, deviates, detracts, changes or fails to fall in harmony with God's Word. That is John Ankerberg's opinion and he analyzes what he reviews and researches well and under that disciplined perspective. His book is great and can be trusted by Bible believing Christians. While SOME experiences MAY have SOME and perhaps MUCH authenticity and be related by true, good Bible believing Christians WE should be like the Bereans who checked the Word to verify if reported things were true or not.

Whatever the spiritual experience is, whether its based on the Bible or some other spiritual path; you can bet that Ankerberg and company have written a book that discredits it. I have read this author before and have read him again.. I guess looking at his material is sort of like seeing a really bad car accident that you just can't look away from.In short, Ankerberg labels everything demonic, satanic and deceptive. I don't think there's a spiritual subject out there that he has not written a book about and named the devil as the cause. He blasts the New Agers, he demonizes other religions and even condemns other Christians and their practices.Oh save us Mr. Ankerberg... it seems you alone hold the truth about everything. maybe you are the second coming of Christ and we just have not recognized it yet.I'm sorry, but this author turns my stomach.. he is a hope killer and an alarmist. He cannot even let people find peace in knowing there is something beyond death.. Nope, it's that blasted devil again deceiving us all and trying to lead us all into hell!!!!Oh save us Mr. Ankerberg... Did I already say that? Oh yeah, I did. Maybe later he will personally answer my prayer and stop writing these disturbing books.
