I am a teacher and my students absolutely love these books! I would give them 5 stars, but they are cheaply made and pages start falling out after only a small amount of use.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Kyle Baker tittle(s).This depiction is for anyone who'd rather not be confronted with the true horror of slavery and its subsequent retribution.

This is another Graphic History book from the Graphic Library of Capstone books. I use them for my ESOL students who are learning to read English as well as American History. I found this book interesting because I didn't know much about Nat Turner myself. Very good.

If you'd like your kids to read a comic book that glorifies the real life murder of over 60 persons by Nat Turner and his intoxicated band of slaves, (including the butchering of 10 school children at their little one room schoolhouse-note: Waller's School), then you'll really love this book. You don't believe it? Then check the REAL history behind this event. The Fires of Jubilee: Nat Turner's Fierce Rebellion
